At synagogue, pope seeks 'bridges of friendship'

NEW YORK (CNN) -- Pope Benedict XVI on Friday encouraged worshippers in the Park East Synagogue to "continue building bridges of friendship" with ethnic and religious groups in their neighborhoods.

His visit to the synagogue, one of the marked leading Orthodox Jewish congregations in the country, was the first time a pope entered a U.S. synagogue.
And Park East was only the third synagogue in the world to welcome a pope.

POPE BENEDICT - WHY SEEKING BRIDGES OF FRIENDSHIP ONLY IN A SYNAGOGUE? IT IS UNDOUBTADLY IMPORTANT - BUT WHY NOT AS WELL IN A MOSQUE?

THERE IS ONE GOD AND WE ALL PRAY TO HIM - THE SAME GOD, SO ... WHY DO YOU IGNORE MUSLIMS?
